Evaluation of Other Groups

In the same way that you evaluated other groups draft requirements, I want you to evaluate both the final requirements and design specs of other groups. The steps are as follows:

1. Login to Moodle and view your Grades. Under the item "D3: Evaluation of Design Spec" you will see a list of 6 groups. You must evaluate both the final requirements spec and design spec of these 6 groups. The list may be different from the groups you evaluated in the draft requirements spec.

2. Read both the requirements and design specs of your 6 groups. You need to evaluate the reports separately. You can download them via:

http://ict.siit.tu.ac.th/~sgordon/css403y15s2/requirements/

http://ict.siit.tu.ac.th/~sgordon/css403y15s2/design/

3. Evaluate the Final Requirements Spec at:

http://ict.siit.tu.ac.th/moodle/mo You should keep your evaluations private - do not tell others who you are evaluating.

4. Evaluate the Design Spec at:

http://ict.siit.tu.ac.th/moodle/mod/feedback/view.php?id=982

They are separate evaluation forms, and you may rank groups differently for each. Both require ranking from 1 (best) to 6 (worst), as well as describing weaknesses of the bottom two groups (you don't need to describe strengths this time).

Last time most students seemed to perform the evaluations fairly. I expect the same this time. If I see strange evaluations you may be penalised. You should keep your evaluations private - do not tell others who you are evaluating.

Deadline is 4pm Monday 21 December.

Finally check the PDF of your own reports at the above links. For some groups that did not submit a PDF I generated one, but it may have come out different than you expected. Send me your PDF if that is your group.

Question: Do we need to be strict on document format when evaluating other groups?

Answer: Content is more important than appearance. You should mainly judge the reports based on what they say, whether the design/requirements make sense, and how clear it is described.

If the format/appearance of the report is different from my template or has some small errors, then that is not a problem. However if the format/appearance is so bad that it makes it difficult to read the content, then that is a problem and may result in lower rank.

Remember the deadline for evaluations of both Requirements and Design (that is two separate evaluations) is 4pm Monday 21 Dec.
