Total Scores for Project Development

You can now see the total scores for Project Development in the "Grades" part of Moodle. Some explanation of the scores for the last few items.

1. Effort (out of 5) was from your advisor. Some advisors may have given different scores to different students. Some students received a penalty of 0.5 or 1 mark for wrong submissions (e.g missing PDF or wrong file name) for the requirement or design reports. The penalty is shown as "Feedback" in Moodle.

2. Requirements (out of 20) was calculated from rankings by faculty members (out of 16) and by other students (out of 4). Each group received at least 4 evaluations from faculty and about 10 evaluations from other students. The average of each was used to calculate the score. If you did not evaluate other groups' requirements, you were penalised 2 marks.

3. Design (out of 10) was calculated in same manner as requirements (8 for faculty, 2 for students). If you did not evaluate other groups' designs, you were penalised 1 mark.

If you have any questions about the above scores please contact me asap (before 9am tomorrow 23 Dec). Grades will be finalised tomorrow morning.

It is nice to see good progress on some projects, and hope to see excellent systems by end of next semester. Have a safe and happy new year.
