Welcome to Image and Vision Computing (IVC) laboratory

Image and Vision Computing (IVC) laboratory at Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat university, Thailand is an image processing and computer vision group with expertise in medical imaging and machine vision and learning.

Research activities have focused on

• Image Analysis for automatic dectection of retinopathy of prematurity
• Automatic Detection of Diabetic Retinopathy from Digital Retinal Images
• Optic Disk Detection in ROP 
• Segmentation and Recognition of Architectural Distortion in Mammogram Images
• Variable Size Component Detection with Scale-space Theory 
• Metal Artifacts Reduction in CT
• Tool Path Generation and Optimization for Six-Axis Machining
• Robust hand tracking in low-resolution video sequences
• Simultaneous Localization and Mapping with Shi-Tomashi Point Features

IVC has developed strong and long-standing relationships with Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and Digital Imaging Research Centre (DIRC) laboratory at Kingston university. We also have strong external links with Thammasat hospital and St Thomas' hospital who support medical images for our research.
